The only point worthy of note from December was the launch of Milky Wimpshake's 'My Funny Social Crime' on Fortuna POP! Records, at an obscure social club in Fenham. It was a proud moment to see something the band and I had worked so hard on finally find its audience.
My main recollection of this particular evening was that I won the sweepstake (cash prize of 35 quid), and after MW had played I visited The Star & Shadow to watch a man build an indoor igloo around a piano.
